Job Summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide essential nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician. Your role will include assessing patient needs, administering medications, and supporting patient hygiene and comfort. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care in a compassionate and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide basic bedside care, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, and ensuring patient comfort.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or RN.
Assist with patient assessments and document observations accurately.
Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
Qualifications:
Current and valid LPN license in VT.
Completion of an accredited LPN program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
