Job Description CNC Mill & Lathe Setup OperatorWe are hiring an experienced CNC Setup Operator for a precision machining facility specializing in aerospace and defense components. This is a hands-on role requiring strong setup and operation skills on both mill and lathe equipment.What You'll Do:Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes - primarily Mazak equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, and technical dataLoad, edit, and proof programs; hand-edit as needed to correct errorsSelect and mount tooling, set speeds, feeds, and cutting depthInspect parts using micrometers, dial indicators, and gaugesMaintain SPC charts when requiredProduce CNC programs in less complex situations using CAM softwareKeep work area, machines, and tooling clean and properly maintainedWhat We're Looking For:Minimum 4 years of CNC setup and operation experienceMazak experience requiredProficiency on both mill and latheAbility to read blueprints and work from technical documentationExperience with precision measuring instrumentsCAM programming experience a plusAerospace or defense manufacturing background a plusTrade school or vocational training preferred
