Job SummaryThis position performs general to advanced level maintenance duties required for the Milford facilities. The deliverable is a safe and high level of operation for all equipment functions.Essential FunctionsAbility to work overtime hours as needed on breakdowns and project work.Ability to communicate in a positive way with a variety of personnel (management, office, contractors, factory, etc.)Responsible for maintaining a high safety standard throughout the plant (preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs and improvements)Ability to understand the principles and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic equipment within the factory (presses, shears, laser, overhead crane, electrical systems, air lines, water lines, etc.)Ability to troubleshoot electronic motor controlsAbility to troubleshoot AC and DC electrical systemsAbility to troubleshoot CNC Controls (FANUC, Allen Bradley, Siemen, etc.)Ability to perform the following processes: Welding (Mig., Stick), plasma cutting, and torchAbility to understand and safely follow the Arc Flash plant requirements.Ability to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment within facility, which includes all applicable record keepingTraining and in-house certification required for in house spill prevention/countermeasuresOccasionally required to train other techniciansResponsible for 6S and organization of maintenance work areaAbility to understand and implement hazard and non-hazard waste storage and labelsCapable of designing and installing basic to advanced machine guarding systems.Responsible for following plant safety programs (lockout/tagout, confined space, etc.)Ability to gain knowledge and identify general safety issues within the workplace.Must be willing to participate and interact on appropriate plant improvement committeesMust be able to perform all physical requirementsMinimum Required QualificationsEducation: High school degree or GED or equivalent factory experienceExperience: Candidate must possess the following: Prior factory and maintenance experience required:This position requires a strong focus on safety.Ability to read, write, and do basic math in EnglishAbility to work with dimensions in metrics.Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical prints and schematicsMust have a general to intermediate understanding in the maintenance fields of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, carpentry, HVACSuccessfully complete CTB's sponsored Maintenance Training Program (2 to 4 years - Mechanical and Electrical Industrial Degree Programs) or provide equivalent documentation.PLC Programming and troubleshooting desired (RS Logic 500 and 5000)Must be available to attend additional specialized maintenance trainingCNC and CAD/CAM certification helpfulPLC and Robotic training helpfulAbility to pay attention to detailForklift license and overhead crane license requiredGood knowledge of safe rigging principlesAbility to operate scissor lift and articulating (boom) liftAbility to work with a computer (Excel - Word - Maintenance software)Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities (self-starter)Ability to work in a team environmentMust be able to carry out detailed written or oral instructionWorking conditionsWorks in manufacturing environment that can be hot, noisy, oily/grease and dusty at times.Must be able to work in outside weather conditions (hot and humid in the summer and very cold in the winter)Must be able to work safely with electrical systems up to 575 voltsPPE required (such as long pants and shirts (100% cotton), steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, harness, hearing protection, gloves, welding PPE, arc flash PPE, air respirator)Working on wet surfaces (preventative maintenance in wash bay)Must work at heights at times with fall protectionMust be willing to work in tight spaces at timesPhysical requirementsFrequent bending and twistingFrequent squattingFrequent graspingFrequent reaching/stretchingOccasional lifting 30 to 70 lbs.Frequently walking and standingOccasional use of a step ladderOccasional getting on and off fork truckDirect reports* NoneNot at All - 0Occasionally - 0-33%Frequent - 34%-67%Constant - 68%-100%DISCLAIMER: This job description reflects the assignment of essential job functions.
