This role offers an exciting opportunity for software engineers to contribute to the development of safety-critical and mission-critical flight software for advanced aerospace applications. As part of a collaborative, integrated product team, you will be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture design, algorithm development, implementation, testing, and documentation. The position emphasizes working within an agile environment utilizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality, secure, and automated software delivery. Key areas of focus include sensor fusion, mission management, resource management, fire control, weapons engagement, tactical communications, and third-party software integration.QualificationsThe ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, Rust, or Go is required. Candidates must demonstrate experience with systems integration, real-time operating systems, and embedded software development. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities are essential. U.S. citizenship is mandatory, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance post-start. Preferred qualifications include experience with RTOS, open architecture standards like OMS and UCI, and familiarity with tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, debug, and maintain embedded software that meets industry, safety, and regulatory standards. Translate customer requirements into effective software solutions for embedded systems, ensuring integration with hardware components. Build and write code optimized for specialized hardware platforms, ensuring efficiency and stability. Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging activities to validate software functionality. Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration and performance. Monitor and improve software systems' efficiency, reliability, and security, applying current and emerging technologies as appropriate. Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture design, implementation, verification, and documentation. Perform project management tasks related to embedded software projects, tracking performance and ensuring compliance with project timelines and standards.
