Electrical Engineer

Salamander Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our field installation, commissioning, and servicing of downhole heater systems and associated surface electrical equipment. This is a hands-on field role suited for professionals with oilfield electrical experience who want broader technical exposure and direct influence on field execution.This position requires on-site presence.Essential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesInstall and commission low- and medium-voltage equipment (HCU, transformers, junction boxes, cabling)Support system startup and commissioning activitiesOversee or support medium-voltage splicing and terminationsTroubleshoot recurring electrical issues and implement practical field solutionsPerform preventive maintenance and scheduled testingProvide on-site technical guidance to customers and field crewsContribute to improving field procedures and equipment reliabilityMinimum Qualifications3–7 years of oil & gas electrical field experienceExperience with control panels, switchgear, PLC and/or SCR systemsCore CompetenciesMedium-voltage splicing and termination exposure preferredBackground in service company, operator, downstream, onshore or offshore environmentsStrong troubleshooting mindset and mechanical aptitudeWillingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30–60%, project dependent)Technical or engineering degree preferred, strong field experience highly valuedWhat We OfferWe are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
