This position is ideal for an early career professional looking to grow technical estimating skills while working closely with senior estimators, project managers, and operations teams.This position works onsite daily in Beltsville, MD and may be union or non union.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with preparing estimates for mechanical and/or plumbing construction projectsPerform quantity takeoffs using drawings, MEP specifications, and bid documentsEnter and manage estimate data using Quote Express, AutoBid/AutoBid Pro, and ExcelSolicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotationsSupport bid preparation, documentation, and proposal submissionsMaintain organized estimating files and cost dataParticipate in internal estimate reviews and project handoff meetingsLearn and apply company estimating procedures, standards, and best practiceSkills & Qualifications1+ year of experience in construction estimating or a related role (mechanical or plumbing preferred)Proficiency or working knowledge of Quote Express, AutoBid/AutoBid Pro, and MS Office SuiteAbility to read and interpret basic construction drawings and MEP specificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentU.S. work authorization required, no visa sponsorship availableStrong written and verbal communication skillsProfessional customer service mindsetAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and willingness to learnField experience in mechanical or plumbing construction preferredInterest in long term growth within estimating or preconstruction preferredAdditional InformationOnsite position based in Beltsville, MD.Typical work hours for this role are 7am – 5pm.Hourly rate: $38.50 - $57.00.There is no visa sponsorship available for this position.
