The team fosters a collaborative, people-first environment where employees are encouraged to contribute ideas, grow professionally, and make a meaningful impact on the communities they serve.Job DescriptionThe Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing comprehensive engineering services across a variety of municipal, land development, and aviation projects. This role involves both office-based design work and field coordination to ensure projects are delivered successfully from concept through construction.Provide civil engineering services including design, preparation of plans/specifications, reports, budgets, scopes of work, schedules, and cost estimatesCoordinate project activities with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful executionParticipate in client meetings, design discussions, pre-bid meetings, and construction coordination sessionsMaintain project documentation and ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budgetConduct periodic site visits and provide construction observation to ensure adherence to design standards and specificationsCollaborate with construction teams to address technical issues and implement effective solutionsBuild and maintain strong client relationships, providing updates on project progress and addressing concerns in a timely mannerStay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to support continuous improvementQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institutionProfessional Engineer (PE) license, or actively working toward licensure in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, or IowaStrong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levelsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing prioritiesProficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office applicationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workSelf-motivated, coachable, and eager to grow in a team-oriented environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience working on municipal, land development, or aviation projectsInterest in or familiarity with rural infrastructure projects and small-community challengesDemonstrated ability to contribute to client relationships and deliver a positive project experienceEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approachBenefitsOur client offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support employees’ financial well-being, professional growth, and work-life balance.
