Landscape Foreman
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscaping and be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and construction of outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong understanding of lawn care, tree care and landscape maintenance. The successful applicant will be able to work independently and lead a team of groundskeepers to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency.
Duties:
- Oversee daily maintenance of lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces to ensure they are well-maintained and visually appealing
- Develop and implement landscaping plans and designs
- Lead a team of groundskeepers in the performance of routine tasks such as pruning, mowing, and edging
- Supervise and train groundskeepers in proper techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure all landscaping projects are completed on time and within budget
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all aspects of landscaping are covered
- Develop and implement a comprehensive landscape maintenance plan
- Provide input on the selection of plants, flowers, and trees for landscaping projects
- Perform regular inspections to identify any potential issues and address them promptly
- Ensure that all landscaping equipment and vehicles are properly maintained and stored
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in landscape maintenance
- Strong knowledge of lawn care, tree care, and irrigation systems
- Proven supervisory skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with construction and landscaping software
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with garden design and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and carrying
- Ability to operate and maintain various landscaping equipment and vehicles
- Ability to read and follow safety protocols
- Experience with landscaping software and computer-aided design
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of local environmental regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

8 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
