At Medica, we look forward to our Summer Internship Program each year.Medica’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) Intern will primarily focus on assisting with day-to-day tasks of uploading assets into our DAM system, the Medica Digital Asset Center (MDAC). In addition to entering content into MDAC, they’ll contribute to a larger project aimed at improving the DAM’s workflow or metadata structure to enhance asset findability. They’ll also help with administrative documentation of system changes associated with that project. Performs other duties as assigned.Key AccountabilitiesHelp manage and organize digital assets and content, including images, videos, documents, and other multimedia filesTag, label, and catalog assets and content with accurate metadata to enhance searchability and discoverabilitySupport migration of assets and content into a DAM systemCollaborate with teams (e.g., Marketing, Creative, and IT) to understand asset and content needs and requirementsContribute to the documentation of processes, guidelines, and best practices for DAM operationsAssist with other projects and administrative tasks as assignedWork on a larger project to either improve workflow, metadata, and findability of asset and content within a DAM systemRequired QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in digital asset management, library science, database or content management, information science, or related field Preferred QualificationsExperience with social media platforms or content creationFamiliarity with marketing tools (e.g., email platforms, analytics tools, project management software)Previous internship, coursework, or campus leadership experience related to marketingWhat You'll GainLearn about the health insurance industryLearn about DAM systemsGain experience organizing files and content within a corporate settingLearn how to apply library and information science skills outside of traditional institutions (important for MLIS students)Practice reference and user assessment skillsPractice information architecture skillsLearn about the difference between content management and asset managementWork on day-to-day work and how to manage a larger projectGet practice presenting to upper leadershipThis position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN, or Madison, WI.The full hourly pay range for this position is $16.40 - $21.10. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.  In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.The compensation and benefits information is provided as of the date of this posting.
