Strut Setup Lead - $27/hr. / $1.00 shift differential / Monthly Incentive

DescriptionStrut Set-Up Lead 3rd shift ($27/hr + 1.00 shift premium and monthly incentive)Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Strut Set-Up Lead - 3rd Shift to be based out of Hobart, Indiana. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for the operation and set-up of all the Strut Welders. In addition, this person will also be responsible for Q.C. inspection of products made in the Strut Welders and the training of new Strut Welder operators.What you'll do: Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:Safely operate and train new associates on the Strut Welders.Read and execute production work orders.Fill out complete documentation for production, down time, and Q.A. reports.Drive forklift when necessary.To communicate safety, production, or any other problems to the shift supervisor.What you'll bring: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.1 Year of Strut Welder set-up experience or equivalent training.Previous welding and forklift experience is a plus.Within 3 months, you'll: Safely operate and set-up all the Strut Welders within engineered Takt Time.Be able to troubleshoot and perform PM maintenance on the Strut Welders.Monitor the quality of the product being produced.Be able to run coupons on the welder, testing of the coupons, and evaluate the performance of the coupons.Be able to perform changeover/set-up for length change, finish (PG and PL) (, solid to slotted material, various profiles, and channel sizes all within engineered set-up parameters.Who we are: Atkore is a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award!
