The successful candidate will be a key legal advisor for product and AI initiatives, particularly in the areas of healthcare AI and consumer technology. This role is pivotal in guiding the company through a complex legal landscape, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, state consumer privacy laws, and evolving AI regulations. The Senior Corporate Counsel will be responsible for product advising, AI governance, regulatory monitoring, and privacy and data security. They will also be instrumental in developing and executing legal strategies that support the company's mission to deliver accessible, high-quality healthcare.Applicants for this role at the company should have a JD from an accredited law school, with at least 7 years of legal experience, including a blend of law firm and in-house roles in health tech or digital health. Direct experience in product development and a strong understanding of the legal and ethical implications of AI in healthcare are essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep familiarity with U.S. privacy laws, including HIPAA and state consumer privacy laws, and experience with regulations impacting healthcare businesses. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required, as is the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across departments.
