If you can spot a bad takeoff from a mile away, know coastal construction inside and out, and take pride in getting numbers right the first time — this role was built for you!A growing Gulf Coast construction firm is seeking an experienced Residential Estimator to join its in-house team supporting high-volume residential construction projects across Texas, Alabama, Florida, and North Carolina.This role is heavily focused on ground-up single-family homes, with additional exposure to multifamily, remodel, and disaster recovery projects. Average project values are approximately $400K, with a strong emphasis on windstorm-rated and coastal construction. The estimator will work closely with purchasing and project management teams to ensure material orders align precisely with takeoffs and field execution.What You’ll Do:Prepare accurate residential estimates and takeoffs (60–80 bids/month)Interpret blueprints from multiple architects and engineersSupport material procurement and purchasing coordinationEstimate primarily ground-up single-family residential projectsWork on Gulf Coast windstorm and coastal construction projectsQualifications:5+ years of residential estimating experienceStrong experience with coastal/windstorm constructionProficiency with STACK Takeoff Software preferredStrong blueprint reading exp. and takeoff accuracy is a must haveOrganized, detail-oriented, and self-sufficientXactimate experience is a plusCompensation & Benefits:Base salary up to $130KDiscretionary bonus potentialMedical coverage with PPO & HMO plan optionsDental and vision insurance401(k) with 4% company match2 weeks PTO, 7–8 paid holidays annually, Approximately 1 week of sick timeBenefits eligibility after 90 daysLong-term growth opportunity within a rapidly expanding companyThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to make a direct impact within a growing construction company focused on residential rebuilding and resilient coastal construction.
