Advancement Director
Advancement Director Full-Time Exempt Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 Reports to: Executive Director In-Person Boise, Idaho, United States Position Description Lee Pesky Learning Center (LPLC) is seeking a talented and passionate Advancement Director to take our fundraising to the next level. LPLC's Advancement Director is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive advancement program that builds brand awareness, advances LPLC's standing as a thought leader, deepens donor engagement, and creates long-term philanthropic sustainability. Duties include overseeing all fundraising efforts and special appeals, building relationships with constituents (with a focus on major gifts), increasing support for our endowment fund, creating a multi-channel marketing plan for our legacy giving program, overseeing fundraising events, and leading mission-aligned communications. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Administer a comprehensive advancement programIdentify and implement strategies for LPLC advancement (fundraising, PR, and marketing) to support long term sustainability and fulfill immediate needsServe as public representative of the organization to include cultivating relationships with community members, including prospective volunteers and supporters, to build awareness of - and commitment to - LPLC's workRepresent LPLC and act as a spokesperson as neededServe on the Board Advancement Committee and the Staff Leadership TeamManage expense budgets for all fundraising, communication, and marketing effortsAssist with stewardship post grant awardsBuild fundraising revenueRefine LPLC's annual fundraising planFinalize and implement plan for growing planned giving and major gifts programConduct prospect research to identify donors whose interests align with LPLCOversee all fundraising activities including major giving, special events, annual/special appeals, planned giving, and corporate partnership initiatives in collaboration with EDExecute strategy for a large, sustained base of annual donorsIdentify prospective individual and corporate donors and develop strategies to cultivate those relationshipsOversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing (utilizing DonorPerfect platform)Expand and manage the organization's marketing, messaging, and communicationsCollaborate with the ED to improve national communication and marketing practicesSet and monitor adherence to branding guidelines and create mass communications pieces such as the annual report, quarterly eNewsletters, appeal collateral etc.Work in collaboration with Board of Directors to design communications and marketing plan and oversee implementationManage media and public relations efforts and opportunities to promote LPLC's programsCollaborate to create and implement social media communicationsOversee updates to websiteAssist with special projects as needed Key Skills and Competencies:LeadershipExperience with developing and monitoring annual advancement budgetsAdministration and supervisory skills and experienceConfidential and trustworthyDemonstrated commitment to accountability and results-oriented cultureAbility to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detailTime management skills and flexibility with job duties in response to the contextSound judgment, professionalism, and a positive attitudeResourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving skillsWillingness to work onsite as jointly determined with EDCommunicationHighly developed verbal and written skills including excellent editing skillsStrong interpersonal skills including building relations with major stakeholdersSkillful and enthusiastic spokesperson, accurately conveying LPLC's vision and missionKnowledge ofFundraising strategies, software (DonorPerfect preferred), and tools needed to manage donations and campaignsMicrosoft Office (including PowerPoint) and basic HTML editingSocial media platforms and best practicesMass e-mail marketing platforms Minimum QualificationsEducation: A minimum of a 4-year college degree, Master's degree preferredWork Experience: Three years in fundraising and/or public relations to include:Proven track record of raising funds from diverse sources (including major gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government agencies)Knowledge of and connections to funding communitiesMarketing experience (preferred) CompensationCompetitive salary based on experience, education, and skills.Full medical and dental insuranceSimple IRA with 3% matchShort-term disability & vision insuranceGenerous paid time off and paid holidays Working Environment & Physical RequirementsOffice setting with built-in desks and temperature fluctuationsLift up to 20lbs & navigate stairs on various occasionsTravel (occasionally overnight) as related to fundraising effortsMove about the office to access files, office equipment, etc. DisclaimerThe above description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed.
