Director of Advancement

The Lee Pesky Learning Center (LPLC) is seeking a dynamic and relationship-focused Advancement Director to lead and grow our fundraising, donor engagement, marketing, and community outreach efforts. This key leadership position will work closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, donors, and community partners to advance LPLC’s mission of creating pathways to learning for everyone.The Advancement Director will oversee all aspects of philanthropic development, including major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, corporate partnerships, grants stewardship, fundraising events, communications, and marketing. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, skilled relationship builder, and compelling communicator with a proven track record of fundraising success.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive advancement strategy to support long-term organizational sustainability.Cultivate and steward relationships with individual, corporate, foundation, and community donors.Lead major gift, annual giving, planned giving, and special event fundraising efforts.Expand awareness of LPLC’s mission through marketing, communications, media relations, and community engagement.Collaborate with leadership and the Board Advancement Committee to achieve fundraising and organizational goals.Oversee donor database management, gift processing, branding, website updates, and social media communications.Serve as a public ambassador and spokesperson for the organization.QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.Minimum three years of fundraising, development, public relations, or related experience.Demonstrated success securing support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government sources.Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.Experience with donor management software (DonorPerfect preferred) and fundraising best practices.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: $80,000–$85,000Medical and dental insuranceVision insurance and short-term disability coverageSIMPLE IRA with 3% employer matchGenerous paid time off and paid holidaysIf you are passionate about education, community impact, and building meaningful relationships that drive mission-focused work, we encourage you to apply.https://lplc.bamboohr.com/careers/47?source=aWQ9MTk%3D
