Senior Accountant (Reading)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and compliance with accounting standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial data, improving accounting processes, and supporting leadership with financial insights.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliationsEnsure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policiesAnalyze financial data and variances; provide clear explanations to managementAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysisSupport internal and external audits; prepare audit schedules and documentationReview balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracyMentor and review work of junior accounting staff, as applicableIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controlsCollaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teamsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirementsExperience with month-end close and general ledger accountingProficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesPreferred QualificationsCPA or CPA-track strongly preferredPublic accounting and/or industry experienceExperience with SOX compliance or internal controlsPrior leadership or mentoring experience
