Electrical Engineer

We are hiring an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join our Chatsworth, CA operation. What will you be doing? Assist internal and external customers with manufacturing engineering in a legacy aerospace environment. Strong and diverse technical skills are required in the areas of interpreting specifications, troubleshooting production and procurement issues, reverse engineering, understanding legacy production methods and technologies, qualification to MIL-810, RCA DO-160, and aerospace engineering contracting. Strong technical writing skills are necessary. Familiarity with CAD and other mechanical design software Creative thinking and innovation Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities Effective verbal and written communication Commercial awareness, including an understanding of target user and market. Familiarity with Military and Commercial aircraft contracting and purchase orders. 3+ years of experience Successful candidate will work hands-on as well as assisting suppliers with solving technical projects. May advise and train suppliers and production personnel with various programs that include power, actuation, mechanical systems and technically oriented material subjects, like metallurgy, hydraulics, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. Ontic is a parts supplier of legacy so knowledge of specialized legacy aircraft parts production is a plus. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: BS in electrical, systems, or related scientific field (or equivalent military experience) What Benefits Do We Offer?
