Travel LPN - Long-Term Care (LTC)

DescriptionWe're looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for an immediate travel opening in West Union, IA.The right LPN should have 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF). Read below for more requirements.As an LPN in Long-Term care, you will provide nursing care to residents with chronic illnesses, disabilities, or recovery needs. Working under the supervision of RNs and physicians, you'll help maintain residents' health, comfort, and quality of life.As an LPN, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physiciansMonitor vital signs and observe changes in residents' conditionsAssist with wound care, catheter care, and other nursing proceduresProvide support for activities of daily living as neededCommunicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team membersDocument nursing care, observations, and resident progress accuratelyEnsure compliance with infection control and safety protocolsParticipate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetingsAssist with admissions, discharges, and transfersMaintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for residentsThe ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an LPN in a Long Term or Skilled Nursing setting. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and be eligible for State licensure. Additional certifications may be required.LPNs in long-term care should be compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with a diverse resident population.Requirements*: BLS, 2 Years
