General Contractor/Construction Manager

Our mission is to make the transition to solar power seamless and financially beneficial for our clients while contributing to a more sustainable future.We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated General Contractor with multi-state contracting experience, a strong background in solar installations, and an understanding of electrical systems. An electrical license is a bonus.ResponsibilitiesThe General Contractor will oversee all aspects of solar installation projects, from initial design and permitting to final inspections and system activation. The ideal candidate has multi-state contracting experience, a deep understanding of solar energy systems, and the ability to manage projects efficiently. Experience in solar, general construction, and electrical work will be essential. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and local officials.Oversee solar installation projects across multiple states, ensuring compliance with local regulations, permits, and codes.Manage the entire lifecycle of solar projects, from initial design and permitting through to final inspection and system activation.Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, project management) and external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.Review architectural and engineering plans to ensure proper integration of solar energy systems.Ensure all safety protocols and OSHA regulations are followed on job sites.Collaborate with clients, inspectors, and utility companies to meet project specifications and deadlines.Conduct on-site inspections to ensure quality standards and resolve any issues that arise during construction.Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for each project, ensuring projects stay on track and within scope.Stay up to date with changing regulations and technology in the solar industry.Support business development efforts by providing technical insight during the sales and planning stages of projects.Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and provide technical support as needed.QualificationsValid General Contractor license in multiple states.5 years of experience in construction management preferred, preferably with solar energy or renewable energy projects.Solar installation experience preferred; NABCEP certification is a plus.Electrical license preferred or strong understanding of electrical systems relevant to solar.Strong knowledge of building codes, permitting, and construction best practices across multiple states.Ability to manage large-scale projects and multitask across various teams and locations.Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Willingness to travel and oversee multiple projects in different locations.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred ExperienceNABCEP certification or equivalent solar industry certifications.Experience in energy storage and electrical systems.Familiarity with construction safety standards and OSHA compliance.CompensationComprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insuranceOpportunities for career growth and professional developmentCollaborative and supportive work environment committed to sustainability and renewable energy
