HVAC Supervisor
The HVAC Supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of all HVAC and related building systems across the site. This role leads technicians and vendors, ensures compliance in a GMP environment, and drives maintenance execution and system reliability.What Your Day-to-day Will Look LikeLead and supervise HVAC technicians and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operationsOwn execution of preventive and corrective maintenance with focus on uptime and qualityTroubleshoot complex system issues and drive root cause analysisEnsure all work complies with safety policies, GMP requirements, and site proceduresEnsure all work performed under supervision complies with applicable state codes and licensing requirementsCoordinate and oversee vendor work for quality, scope, and schedule adherenceMaintain accurate documentation in CMMS (labor, materials, completion notes)Support planning/scheduling to align labor with operational prioritiesMonitor system performance and recommend improvements or capital upgradesRespond to system alarms, failures, and emergenciesCoach and develop technical staffRequired Qualifications5+ years HVAC experience; supervisory experience requiredEPA 608 Universal Certification required. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, BAS/BMS, and mechanical troubleshootingProficient in CMMS and Microsoft OfficeResponsible for reviewing and signing off on technician work and hours in accordance with Massachusetts licensing regulationsOther RequirementsTroubleshooting / root cause analysisTeam leadershipPlanning & executionRegulatory complianceCommunicationStrong communication and vendor management skillsMust hold a valid Massachusetts Refrigeration License (Journeyman or Master)Must hold or be able to obtain a Massachusetts HVAC/Refrigeration Contractor registration (or equivalent business license if required)Physical RequirementsLift up to 50 lbs; climbing, kneeling, overhead workWork in varying environmental conditionsAvailable for off-hours and emergency responsePreferred QualificationsGMP or regulated environmental experience
