Job Title: Upholstery Trimmer Department: TrimmingLocation: Plant 5FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Schedule: M - Th 6 am - 4:30 pm & Occasional Fridays 6 am - 10 amOvertime may be required beyond the posted work schedule and may vary on a weekly basis.Overview of ResponsibilitiesUpholstery Trimmer makes, repairs, or replaces outside work. Trimmers fit, install, and secure material (fabric) on wooden frames using hand tools, power tools.Aligning parts / fabric to ensure proper assembly and quality levels. Applying fabric/poly to furniture frames by means of hand tools.Fixing own repairs while ensuring quality, efficiency, and production levelsUsing a computer/scan gun to scan work for production tracking.Maintaining clean/neat workstationMaintaining tools in working conditionAll other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of furniture trimming experience.High school diploma or GED preferred.LEAN Manufacturing experience a plusBasic computer knowledgeAbility to deliver uncompromising quality and detailed craftsmanship.Must be flexible to work overtime when required.Able to stand for 10 hours.Able to use hand tools/air tools/staple gun for 10 hours.Regularly lift and/or move objects 50lbs.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
