Technical Project Manager – Lab & Pharmacy Relocation (Epic Beaker/Willow)Location : South San Francisco, CAKey Responsibilities Lead planning, coordination, and execution of all Epic Beaker or Epic Willow build, configuration, testing, and deployment activities related to the Lab/Pharmacy relocation.Manage cross‑functional project workstreams involving:Laboratory or Pharmacy operations IT infrastructureEpic application teamsEquipment/automation integrationWorkflow redesignOperational readinessRegulatory and compliance requirementsDrive project governance, documentation, schedule management, resource planning, and budget tracking.Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain project transparency through status reporting and stakeholder communication.Partner closely with executive leadership, clinical stakeholders, Health IT, facilities teams, and external vendors.Coordinate activation planning, cutover readiness, and post‑go‑live stabilization.Ensure alignment with UCSF Health’s long‑term strategy for centralized diagnostic and medication services.Required Qualifications Epic Project Management experience requiredEpic Beaker or Epic Willow implementation/optimization experience required5–7 years of project management experience.Minimum 2 years of healthcare industry experience.Experience managing technology‑focused initiatives (application build, system integration, workflow redesign).Strong ability to anticipate obstacles, manage dependencies, and develop contingency plans.Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, and organizational skills.Experience selecting and applying project management methodologies.Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem‑solving capabilities.Experience managing project budgets, schedules, metrics, and resource plans.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, including executives and clinical leaders.Experience leading teams of technology professionals.Ability to integrate information across disciplines and align projects with business strategy.Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, software operations, and disaster recovery.Experience working with Epic applications (Beaker, Willow, or other clinical modules).PMP certification (PMI).Epic certification in one or more clinical or revenue cycle applications.Required Skills Project planning & executionRisk managementStakeholder engagementVendor managementBudget & resource managementExecutive communicationTeam leadershipConflict resolutionStrategic planningTechnology project deliveryCross‑functional collaborationChange managementProblem solvingRole Expectations Resolve ambiguous, cross‑functional challenges involving competing priorities and limited resources.Analyze enterprise delivery risks and operational impacts.Facilitate alignment among executives, operational teams, and technical stakeholders.Develop recovery strategies and ensure continuity of critical Lab/Pharmacy operations during transition.
