The Mortgage Loan Underwriter will analyze, evaluate, and approve or deny mortgage loan applications in compliance with company guidelines and lending practices. Responsibilities include reviewing credit, income, and asset documentation, assessing risk, ensuring accuracy and completeness of loan files, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines. Collaboration with loan officers and other team members is essential to ensure a seamless process for our customers.QualificationsStrong expertise in Mortgage Industry and Mortgage UnderwritingProven knowledge and experience in Underwriting processes and practicesExcellent Analytical Skills for reviewing and evaluating financial dataAttention to detail and the ability to work under deadlinesSolid communication and teamwork abilitiesKnowledge of federal, state, and investor compliance guidelinesRelevant certifications, such as DE (Direct Endorsement) or SAR (Staff Appraisal Reviewer), are a plus but not requiredEncompass Knowledge a plus, but not required
