Senior Estimator (Mechanical/Plumbing)

Williams Plumbing based in Belgrade Montana is looking for a Senior Estimator to lead the development of accurate, competitive cost estimates for large and complex mechanical and plumbing projects. Together, we build and play in Montana.What You'll DoProvide oversight and final validation of complex estimates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment across all scopesLead bid strategy and risk assessment in partnership with Estimating Manager, shaping pricing approach for high-value projectsPerform deep analysis of construction documents to identify scope gaps, design risks, and cost exposuresDirect vendor and subcontractor strategy, including leveling, negotiations, and final buyout recommendationsOwn final estimate development, including full cost modeling (labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, overhead, contingency)Mentor the estimating team, driving standards, consistency, and continuous process improvementWhat You Bring7+ years of estimating experience with a track record of leading large, complex mechanical/plumbing bidsExpert-level knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, including cost drivers, constructability, and installation methodsProven ability to own and deliver full-scope estimates independently for high-value, multi-trade projectsAdvanced expertise in interpreting drawings, specs, contracts, and identifying risk gaps before bidDemonstrated experience in leading bid strategy, subcontractor/vendor negotiations, and final pricing decisionsStrong leadership presence with experience mentoring estimators and influencing team standards and performanceBenefits & PerksAt Williams, we take care of our team with competitive benefits, growth opportunities, and a culture that values work-life balance.
