Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and execution of electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential construction projects. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of complex designs, and is confident serving as the engineer of record. Together, we build and play in Montana.What You'll DoLead end-to-end electrical design for commercial and residential projects, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systemsReview, stamp, and seal engineering documents, ensuring full accountability for accuracy, quality, and code complianceProduce and oversee high-quality electrical plans, schematics, specifications, and construction documentsPerform and validate complex design calculations (load, voltage drop, short circuit, etc.) to ensure system performance and reliabilityCoordinate across internal teams, clients, and contractors to resolve design challenges and drive successful project executionMentor other engineers and EITs while contributing to project management activities (budgets, schedules, deliverables) and continuous improvement effortsWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and active PE license (or ability to obtain in Montana)6+ years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial and/or residential construction projectsStrong expertise in power distribution, lighting design, and low-voltage systemsDeep working knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes and standardsProven ability to lead complex designs, perform advanced calculations, and deliver high-quality construction documentsProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Excel, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentBenefits & PerksAt Williams, we take care of our team with competitive benefits, growth opportunities, and a culture that values work-life balance.
