Industrial Packaging Sales Representative - Kansas City

Group O is searching for an Industrial Packaging Sales Representative in the Kansas City area to join our growing team! The Industrial Packaging Sales Representative is responsible for account management of a defined set of accounts within the Kansas City territory and surrounding areas and will be empowered to increase sales with new and existing customers. Developing new customer sales Building relationships Identifying needs Matching products and services with needs Expanding existing customer sales Building relationships Identifying needs Matching products and services with needs Participating in customer requests for quotes and proposals Gathering and communicating requirements and specifications Participating in pricing Presenting quotes and proposals Participating in order management Receiving orders and relaying them to operations Monitoring order fulfillment Monitoring invoicing Monitoring and reporting on customer satisfaction Finding and supporting opportunities for improved performance, cost-savings, and efficiency Education: Bachelors Degree, Packaging Sciences Degree or equivalent experience Skills: Knowledge of services and products: Secondary/tertiary packaging materials Packaging equipment systems Packaging manufacturer product lines Distribution network services Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to sit or stand for an extended period of time Valid drivers license Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads Ability to travel (overnight) Desired Skills/Experience: Previous experience in sales, account management or customer support- around 5 years Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic user abilities in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to present information to managers, clients, suppliers and peers Problem solving ability Desired Traits: Self-motivated Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast paced, stressful environment Ability to work with and meet deadlines Group O is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
