Software Engineer (100% Remote)

Headquartered in San Francisco, CA, they have more than 12 offices around the world.Our Customer is seeking a Software Engineer on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.The software engineer will support our ongoing initiatives within infrastructure automation projects. The engineer with work closely with three SWEs, a data scientist, capacity planners, and others to deliver applications mainly in big data and infrastructure domains. You will pull data from various data sources, transform, and apply algorithms to produce results that will have a high business impact.To succeed in this SWE position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources with SQL/Python.ResponsibilitiesBuild data systems and pipelinesCombine raw information from different sourcesExplore ways to enhance data quality and reliabilityDevelop analytical tools and programs, and build dashboardsIdentifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements, including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processesBuilding ETL jobs for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources using AWS, Airflow, Databricks, and SQL technologies.Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insights into key infrastructure metrics and performanceSkills And QualificationsDegree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar fieldPrevious experience as an SWE engineer or in a similar roleTechnical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniquesFluent in PythonHands-on experience with SQL database design and experience working with Hive/Databricks or other data warehousesHave experience building dashboards on Tableau/Grafana/DatabricksExperience in building data pipelines on Airflow is a plusGreat numerical and analytical skillsWe offer a competitive salary range for this position.
