Accounts Payable Specialist
Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, a leading California labor and employment law firm with over 120 attorneys across five offices, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Los Angeles-based accounting team.Key Responsibilities:Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and timelyProcess weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfersReconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepanciesMaintain vendor files, W-9s, and payment recordsCoordinate invoice approvals with the Executive Director, attorneys, and department managersEnsure vendor invoices are processed in compliance with firm accounting policies and client billing guidelinesAssist with month-end closing and accounts payable reconciliationsMonitor expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactionsRespond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely mannerMaintain confidentiality of financial and firm information at all timesPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedWork with the Director of Finance to streamline and automate Accounts Payable processesEnsure client-related invoices are paid only when payment has been received from firm clientsMinimum Requirements and Skills for Success:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredMinimum of 1-3 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services settingStrong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processesProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionExperience with Aderant or comparable legal accounting software preferredTo learn more about Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, please visit https://www.lcwlegal.com/Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) StatementLiebert Cassidy Whitmore is an equal opportunity employer.
