Automotive Service Manager

Job Summary Mike Alsop Rockville Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations, manage a team of service technicians, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain efficient workflow. Duties Supervise and guide a team of service technicians. Schedule and assign tasks to technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance. Monitor and manage inventory levels of automotive parts and supplies. Coordinate with customers to schedule appointments and provide repair estimates. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly. Perform quality control checks on completed work to ensure customer satisfaction. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automotive technology. Skills To excel in this role, you should have: Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance procedures. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve issues effectively. Proficiency in cash handling procedures. Effective communication skills to convey technical information to customers and team members. Strong organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Mechanical knowledge of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and other components. Experience with tire service, oil changes, and other routine vehicle maintenance tasks.
