Love building supply chains that keep complex products flying?Join Avidyne's Supply Chain team as a Senior Buyer, where you'll shape sourcing strategies and strengthen supplier relationships to ensure materials for innovative avionics solutions are available.You'll partner with engineering, operations, and production teams, manage supplier performance, lead sourcing initiatives, and drive continuous improvement, making a measurable impact on operational success.WHAT YOU'LL OWNAt Avidyne, you'll help translate supply chain strategy into practical, reliable solutions that support innovation, production, and long-term business success.• Commodity strategy: Develop and execute sourcing strategies across electronics, build-to-print, and consumables categories, including supplier rationalization and dual-source planning.• Sourcing & negotiation: Lead RFQ/RFP events, negotiate pricing, lead times, and contract terms, and drive total cost of ownership improvements.• Supplier relationships: Own supplier performance reviews, corrective action plans, and strategic account-level partnerships.• Cross-functional support: Partner with engineering on component selection, availability risk, capacity constraints, and obsolescence planning.• Process improvement: Lead procurement standardization initiatives, support ERP enhancements, and mentor junior buyers.WHY AVIDYNEAt Avidyne, our culture is grounded in the philosophy of Simply Flying, which means we focus on creating practical and effective solutions that make a real impact. We embrace the idea of "Build What You Run," enabling employees to design, test, and improve processes in real time.In this environment, you'll take ownership of key commodity categories, influence decisions that affect production, and collaborate with engineers dedicated to getting the details right.If you value clarity, ownership, and tackling challenging supply chain issues, you'll thrive here.WHAT YOU NEEDBachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.Minimum 5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience with increasing responsibility.Minimum 5 years in the electronic component industry.Experience in developing sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships.Proven track record in leading supplier negotiations on pricing, lead times, contracts, and commercial terms.Ability to analyze total cost of ownership, supplier performance, and sourcing risks for data-driven decisions.Knowledge of supplier performance management, corrective action processes, and continuous improvement.Capable of managing multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and relationship-building with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.HELPFUL TO HAVESkilled in build-to-print manufacturing, including machining, fabrication, and assembly suppliers.Procurement of consumables, packaging materials, chemicals, and MRO supplies.Experience in aerospace, aviation, electronics manufacturing, or regulated industries.Proficient with Oracle EBS or similar ERP platforms.Knowledgeable in AS9100, ISO 9001, or quality management systems.Holds supply chain certifications like APICS/ASCM, ISM, CPSM, CPM.Experience with government contracts or regulated environments.Certified in Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement.Managed commodity portfolios over $5 million in annual expenditure.Interest in aviation; pilot's license is a plus
