Position SummaryThe HR Recruiter plays a critical role in supporting the growth of Excel Services by identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent across multiple departments including field trades, project management, and office staff.
This position works closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, manage the recruiting pipeline, and ensure a positive candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and energized by building relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
Talent AcquisitionManage the full recruiting lifecycle from job posting through offer acceptance
Source qualified candidates using job boards, social media, industry networks, and referrals
Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews
Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and provide candidate feedback
Maintain active candidate pipelines for key positions
Hiring Strategy & Workforce PlanningPartner with department leaders to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities
Assist in developing recruiting strategies for hard-to-fill positions in the skilled trades
Support workforce planning initiatives as the company continues to grow
Candidate ExperienceEnsure a positive and professional experience for all candidates
Communicate clearly throughout the hiring process
Represent Excel Services and our culture in all candidate interactions
Recruiting AdministrationPost and maintain job listings on various recruiting platforms
Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-hire and candidate pipeline activity
Maintain accurate records within the applicant tracking system
Assist with onboarding coordination for new hires
Employer BrandingPromote Excel Services through recruiting events, social media, and networking opportunities
Support employee referral programs and recruiting campaigns
Qualifications2+ years of recruiting or HR experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously
Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Experience using recruiting platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, or similar job boards
Experience recruiting in construction, skilled trades, or service industries
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or HRIS platforms
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
