Their pipeline includes a mix of ground-up construction and renovation projects, supported by a fast-paced preconstruction process. The team values urgency, strong communication, detailed scope analysis, and high accountability throughout the bidding cycle.Position OverviewThe Project Estimator is responsible for supporting the full preconstruction and bidding process from a general contractor perspective, with a strong focus on scope review, subcontractor coordination, bid analysis, and final bid assembly. This role requires someone who can read drawings and project manuals carefully, break down scopes trade by trade, and manage multiple active bids under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate has experience estimating U.S. commercial projects, understands multi-trade coordination, and can operate effectively in a high-pressure, high-volume bidding environment.Key ResponsibilitiesReview construction drawings, specifications, and project manuals to fully understand project scope across all tradesPerform detailed trade-by-trade scope reviews to ensure full project coverageInterpret and apply CSI MasterFormat throughout the estimating and bid processSet up projects in internal and external bidding platforms and organize subcontractors by trade/divisionInvite and coordinate subcontractors, handling high volumes of calls and emails for clarificationsRespond to subcontractor questions and escalate RFIs to architects or project managers when neededPerform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam when required (not the primary focus)Review subcontractor proposals for scope completeness, inclusions, exclusions, and risk gapsInput and organize bids into preconstruction tracking tools (Excel-based bid books / PCB)Identify missing scope items, inconsistencies, and potential cost risks across tradesNegotiate scope clarifications and pricing adjustments with subcontractorsAssist in selecting subcontractors based on price, scope coverage, and riskSupport final bid assembly and participate in high-pressure bid day reviewsPresent and justify trade selections internally, balancing cost vs. scope completenessMaintain organized bid documentation and track multiple active projects simultaneouslyQualificationsRequired QualificationsExperience working on U.S. commercial construction projectsStrong ability to read drawings, specifications, and project manuals and understand scope trade by tradeStrong understanding of construction trades and commercial construction processesExperience performing detailed scope reviews and bid analysisStrong knowledge of CSI MasterFormatProficiency in Bluebeam (PlanSwift or similar tools acceptable)Strong Excel skills and comfort working within structured estimating or preconstruction toolsStrong communication skills for calls, negotiations, scope discussions, and subcontractor coordinationAbility to manage multiple active projects simultaneously (4–5 at a time)Ability to work extended hours when needed in a high-volume bid environmentFluent in English (C1/C2 level)Preferred QualificationsEstimating experience within a General Contractor environmentExperience with public construction projectsExperience with both ground-up and renovation projectsFamiliarity with Buildertrend, Autodesk ACC, or similar bidding / project management platformsExperience reviewing bids across project sizes ranging from approximately $600,000 to $7 millionStrong negotiation skills and confidence presenting bid selections internallyWork Environment & CompensationLocation: Remote (LATAM Applicants Only)Schedule: Full-Time (45 - 50 Hours/Week - EST)Compensation: $12/hour USD (~$2,400/month)Opportunity to develop advanced General Contractor level estimating skillsFast-paced environment with strong learning and growth potentialWe look forward to reviewing your application.
