Qualifications:• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a closely related field. The advanced curriculum in system modeling, controls theory, embedded architecture, and real-time operating systems provided by a Master's degree is essential for designing and optimizing complex, safety-critical embedded control software in the automotive domain.• 3+ years of professional experience in embedded software development for automotive control systems.• Demonstrated expertise in embedded systems, control algorithms, and model-based design methodologies.• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded applications.• Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN).Plusses:• Experience with vehicle networking protocols beyond CAN/LIN, such as Automotive Ethernet.• Direct experience with calibration support and associated tools (e.g., ETAS INCA).• Prior experience in electrification systems (e.g., Battery Management Systems, Motor Control Units).• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.Day to Day:Insight Global is looking for an Embedded Controls Software Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan. As an Embedded Controls Software Engineer, you will be a critical contributor to the design, development, and validation of advanced embedded control software for next-generation automotive systems. This specialized role focuses on the Body Control Module, directly impacting vehicle safety, user experience, and electrification readiness. You will leverage your expertise in controls theory, real-time systems, and embedded architecture to architect, develop, and optimize complex, safety-critical software throughout the entire product lifecycle.Compensation: $45-$50/hrExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
