In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment in aerospace test facilities. Your work will have a direct impact on our customers' ability to validate and enhance aircraft systems, keeping Calspan at the forefront of the aerospace industry.Responsibilities:Perform mechanical and electrical equipment installation and repairs in response to service requests within the guidelines of company EH&S practices/policies. Includes removal and/or modification of existing customer equipment in preparation for new equipment installations.Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic applications with the use of diagnostic and test equipment.Conduct functional checkout and commissioning of electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with company documentation and procedures. Submit timely and accurate reporting logs for all site activity during installation, checkout and commissioning of the test facility.Perform supervision of sub-contractors. xevrcyc Includes coordinating, directing and validating the work performedDocument and prepare red line drawing changes, submit requests for parts and assist in writing work proceduresAssists shop production teams with sub-assembly work and facility maintenance as neededQualifications:Bachelors in related discipline3+ years in related discipline or;A combination of education and experience equivalent to aboveAbility to travel internationally and domestically 75% of the timeA valid U.S. driver's license and passport are requiredRequires a high level of planning and organization skillsProfessionally interact with customers and subcontractorsStrong communication verbal and written skills - must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with the customer and company personnelStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and testing procedures, as well as, hands on experience in troubleshooting of both mechanical an electrical control systemPLC code, ability to investigate and implement changes with engineering support/directionMicrosoft Office proficient; CAD experience beneficialWork at heights and operate aerial lifts, fork lifts and variety of hand toolsSalary Range (min): USD $29.00/Yr.Salary Range (max): USD $35.00/Yr.
