This is more than a leadership role—it’s a chance to:Lead and support a talented, multidisciplinary team of specialists and emergency cliniciansInfluence hospital-wide medical standards, workflows, and patient safety initiativesMentor and develop veterinarians while fostering a positive, collaborative cultureServe as a key voice in strategic and operational decision-makingHelp drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, advanced referral environmentWhat You’ll DoAs Medical Director, you will:Lead Clinical OperationsOversee day-to-day medical operations across specialty and emergency servicesSupport high-quality, consistent patient care and efficient clinical workflowsPartner with Chiefs of Service and leadership to optimize coverage, caseload distribution, and service coordinationIdentify opportunities to improve processes, staffing, and resource utilizationSupport and Develop the Veterinary TeamCoach, mentor, and support Chiefs of Service and Associate VeterinariansGuide performance management, onboarding, development, and conflict resolutionFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and lifelong learningHelp ensure strong doctor scheduling and sustainable workloads across a 24/7 hospitalDrive Quality and InnovationSupport patient safety and quality improvement effortsHelp implement medical protocols, technologies, and hospital initiativesServe as a bridge between frontline clinicians and executive leadershipPartner across departments to strengthen communication and elevate the client and patient experienceQualifications:DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree5+ years in a 24-hour specialty and emergency referral hospital5+ years of veterinary leadership experienceInternship training or equivalent experience required (residency/board certification preferred)Strong clinical judgment and operational mindsetExperience leading teams, improving workflows, and managing changeA collaborative, solutions-focused leadership style grounded in compassion and accountabilityReady to Lead With Us?If you’re passionate about clinical excellence, people leadership, and advancing specialty veterinary medicine, we’d love to connect.
