Construction Worker

A well-established construction company is expanding and has a need to hire additional experienced *Construction Workers* to serve their growing commercial and mixed use construction businesses. *Position Summary* The Construction Worker supports field operations for a licensed California General Building (Class B) Contractor on residential, commercial, and mixed-use construction projects. This position performs a variety of physical labor tasks, assists skilled trades personnel, and helps maintain safe, clean, and productive job sites. The Construction Worker is expected to adhere to all company policies, Cal/OSHA safety requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities* * Perform general construction labor, including lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, staging, and transporting materials, tools, and equipment. * Assist company employees and subcontractors across various construction trades, including carpentry, framing, drywall, painting, concrete, and site preparation activities. * Operate and maintain basic hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner. * Prepare, clean, organize, and maintain construction sites to ensure safe and productive working conditions. * Dig trenches, remove debris, and perform site preparation and demolition tasks as directed. * Mix, pour, spread, and place construction materials such as concrete, mortar, and grout. * Follow project plans, supervisor instructions, and established work procedures. * Observe and comply with all company safety policies, Cal/OSHA regulations, and jobsite-specific safety requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately. * Support project completion by performing other related duties as assigned. *Required Qualifications* * 3+ years prior construction is required. * Ability to understand, follow, and carry out verbal and written instructions in English. * Reliable attendance and the ability to travel to and from assigned jobsites. * United States citizen since their government clients require this to enter their facilities.. * Possession of a valid government-issued photo identification, including a valid state-issued *REAL ID is required*. * Ability to successfully complete a company-administered background check, including Live Scan fingerprinting when required by project, client, or regulatory requirements. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment. * Ability to work 8-14 hours a day *Physical Requirements* * Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. * Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain. * Ability to safely navigate active construction sites and work around heavy equipment, uneven terrain, noise, dust, and other typical construction-site conditions. *Pay Rate:* $25-$35\\hour DOE *Call to Action* Email resume to podonnell@theplusgroup.com #TPGSR2 Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Work Location: In person
