Based near Lees Summit, MO, this nursing role is tailored for a compassionate RN with a background in pediatric, ICU, ER, or school nursing experience—recent experience is required. You'll make a difference by working one-on-one with a student during the school year and may transition to a float nurse position during the Extended School Year (ESY), covering various grade levels and campuses.What You'll Bring:Active Registered Nurse license in Missouri with a clear record (verified through Nursys).Pediatric clinical experience, ideally in ICU, ER, or school settings; new grads are not considered for this role.Strong communication and multitasking skills, with comfort using electronic record systems for charting.Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes, site assignments, and field trip coverage on short notice.Willingness and ability to work with students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.A proactive, reliable demeanor—capable of operating independently while still part of a collaborative educational team.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 nursing care for a designated student, ensuring safety and well-being.Serve as a float nurse covering health rooms across the district, as well as chaperone on field trips as needed (if not assigned 1:1 ESY student).Deliver care, triage, and support to students, compile accurate electronic health records, and communicate with staff and families as appropriate.Adapt weekly and daily based on assignments, school schedules, and emerging student needs.Why Consider This Opportunity?Full-time position with regular daytime hours until the end of May, plus an opportunity for summer work.Work autonomously while broadening your pediatric and school nursing experience.Direct impact on student health and well-being in a school community.Your next rewarding RN contract starts here.
