Manager - Mechanisms, Lunar Permanence

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will manage a team of mechanisms design engineers within the MK2 Lunar Lander Program through design, analysis, test, and delivery of spacecraft mechanical systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Mentor and coach design engineers in mechanical design and analysis, including CAD, drawings, structural analysis, systems engineering, and test.
Technical ownership of design and delivery of mechanism products
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
5+ years designing spaceflight mechanisms hardware.
Experience with CAD/PLM (Creo/Windchill preferred)
Experience with spaceflight hardware release
Experience with hardware test, requirements verification and validation
Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers
Preferred Qualifications:
End-to-end hardware development experience for spaceflight/launch vehicle hardware (preliminary design through flight support)
Experience in production environment (non-conformance management, build support, test support)
Compensation Range for:
CO applicants is $138,181.00 - $193,453.05
WA applicants is $150,743.00 - $211,039.50Other site ranges may differ
