American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Sacramento, CA, requiring a CA RN license and at least 3 years of experience with IR and recovery care.Job Details• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit,• Role includes time in a recovery setting with patients from deep organ biopsy and angiography cases,• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 9:30 AM-6:00 PM,• Rotating weekends required,• Variable on-call nights and weekends required,• 26-week contract,Job Requirements• Active CA RN license required,• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,• Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant IR nursing experience required,• Experience with recovery care for deep organ biopsy and angiography cases (PACU experience) highly preferred,• IR or Cath Lab experience preferred,• Proficiency operating complex stationary and mobile diagnostic imaging equipment,• 2 supervisor references from within the past two years required for consideration,• Copies of all certifications required for consideration,Additional Information• Assists physicians during a variety of diagnostic and guidance imaging procedures,• Prepares patients for invasive procedures and provides education on the procedure, medications, contrast media, and associated biological effects,• Ensures routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental timeframes,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates,• Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,
