Part-Time Night Auditor

The Study at University City is currently seeking a Night Auditor, to provide genuine hospitality and highest quality of service to our guests. This position will be responsible for overnight operations of the front desk while balancing entries and records of financial transactions under the direction of the Guest Service Manager and in alignment with brand standards.Our caring and attentive associates reinforce our principal belief that guest service is our highest priority. We have opportunities for energetic, service-oriented individuals who are experienced in providing efficient service and memorable experiences.ResponsibilitiesProvide the highest and most efficient level of hospitality and customer service expected by our guestsComplete the guest check-in and check-out processes, which includes assigning guests their rooms and facilitating paymentMaintains room inventory of vacancies, reservations, and assignmentsCourteously answer inquiries and accept reservations, both in person and by telephone, by accurately communicating hotel rates and information and by using suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy and revenueCoordinate with all departments of the hotel to manage guest requests, as well as answer general guest inquiries about the hotel and the surrounding areaAttends to guests needs and request, including setting up and scheduling wake-up calls and outgoing taxis, making restaurant recommendations, resolving billing issues, and complaintsRegularly calculates and/or posts charges, receipts, cash payments and other forms of credit using accurate, proper cash handling methods and established procedures in order to present the customer with timely and precise hotel charges upon check-out and maintain accurate hotel recordsResponsible for rolling the hotel’s PMS system forward to the next business day, balances and audits the system for accuracy, and transmits credit card reportsPerform accordingly to the company handbook in regard to policies, procedures and regulationsActs as the Manager on Duty during the early morning hoursMaintain a safe and clean work environmentFundamentalsAbility to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all timesEducation: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Experience: At least 1-year Night Audit experience preferredAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentagesIntermediate computer skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelFlexibility to work any shift including evenings, weekends and holidaysExcellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in English required. A second language is desirableStrong organizational skills including follow up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to positively communicate and interact with all hotel departmentsAbility to grasp, lift and or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 50 lbsAbility to stand for long periods of time in an indoors with a thematically climate-controlled workstationEOE AA- Minorities/Females/Vet/Disability/Gender Identity/Sexual OrientationStudy Hotels is a drug free workplace.
