Accounting/Payroll Associate
Location: North Shore, MACompensation: $70,000–$75,000 + Bonus + LunchWhy the Opportunity?The Company: A long‑established private club is modernizing its operations, facilities, and systems to support continued member growth.The Growth: Membership has expanded significantly, prompting technology upgrades, new amenities, and revitalized facilities.The Opportunity: With the finance team running lean during this growth phase, the club is adding an Accounting Associate to stabilize workloads and strengthen core processes.The Exposure: This role offers hands‑on experience across payroll, billing, HR support, and general accounting with direct visibility to the Controller.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToProcess payroll for hourly and tipped employees, including timesheet verification, gratuity/service charge allocations, and payroll adjustments as directed by management.Prepare payroll‑related journal entries and assist with reconciliations.Generate member billing statements (F\&B, events, dues) and reconcile charges.Monitor aging reports, follow up on outstanding balances, and resolve billing inquiries.Complete onboarding paperwork, maintain employee files, and support workers’ compensation claim administration.Assist with HR recordkeeping, policy updates, compliance postings, and handbook updates.Provide backup support to Accounts Payable when needed.Maintain a courteous, professional presence when employees or members visit the office (no front‑desk or receptionist duties).Assist with general GL tasks such as payroll JE uploads, prepaids, monthly bank reconciliations, and audit preparation.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.3+ years of payroll, billing, or accounting experience — hospitality or tipped‑employee environments a plus.Working knowledge of payroll compliance, workers’ compensation, and general accounting processes.Experience with club management or accounting systems (Jonas, Paylocity, etc.) is helpful but not required.Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to maintain a steady and organized workflow.Comfortable supporting a small, collaborative accounting team.#INAPR2026
