MARKETING MANAGERLocation: 1132 W 1700 N, Logan, UTJob SummaryResponsible for planning and overseeing the implementation of marketing campaigns to promote business products and services in support of the overall Juniper Systems strategy. Leading and training Juniper’s marketing professionals and specifying marketing resource requirements and needs. Main duties include creating projects and concepts for successful marketing activities, as well as helping resolve team issues and maintaining communication with resellers, dealers, internal and external customers, vendors, and other managers within the company. Leads the brainstorming of ideas, suggests appropriate technology to complete marketing initiatives, coordinates with marketing professionals to modify campaigns and measure the progress of marketing projects, and is ultimately responsible for the team’s effectiveness in generating leads for Juniper’s products and services.Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesMentors and builds a service-oriented marketing team that works to serve sales, product management, and others in the organization, helping them meet their goals.Act as a key subject matter expert to direct efforts relating to effective marketing for Juniper’s brands, products, services, and vertical markets. Manage the marketing strategies of the organization's brands, products, and services. Analyzing website conversion rates and the effectiveness of promotions to determine what drives leads.Responsible for planning and managing Juniper’s primary forms of promotion, including: partner communications, website, tradeshows, literature and collateral, press releases, social media campaigns, blog, articles, email communication, webinars, video, etc. Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analyses, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies. Maintain awareness in market and competitor changes and adjust marketing strategies accordingly. Works closely and meets regularly with Sales and Product Management in developing specific marketing strategies and plans for each vertical market, brand/product, and total solution.Works closely with product management on the launch of new products and solutions, developing marketing strategies for new products.Evaluate the impact of marketing plans in achieving their stated objectives, including impact on leads, website traffic, and social media traffic. Edits writing from various sources within the company, including letters, press releases, collateral copy, web copy, product descriptions, etc.Maintain brand standards and tone across all communication channels and tools.Communicates with and provides marketing support and leadership to Juniper’s satellite locations. Ensures that the marketing strategy and Juniper Systems’ brand globally are maintained across the Juniper offices and entities. Communicates regularly with third-party vendors such as printers, media outlets, etc.Skills, Knowledge, And ExperienceRequires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design, or a related field and five years of experience in creating and producing marketing content (digital marketing, social media, email, brand management, website design, etc.). Extensive knowledge of current and relevant marketing techniques. Proficient in analytics and market testing. Excellent copywriting skills.An ability to understand and analyze trends, and a deep understanding of the wide variety of marketing channels. A thoroughness and attention to detail, excellent time management, and able to balance many projects at once.Requires basic computer skills and specific software skills in graphic design and desktop publishing. Responsibility, Accountability, And Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for managing the Marketing Team within the Sales & Marketing Department, including writers, graphic designers, event coordinators, and others as assigned.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.Accountable for key marketing metrics, including web and tradeshow sales leads and website traffic; continually monitoring these and managing marketing efforts to grow them in both quantity and quality.Responsible for managing the budget for the marketing efforts of the company. Approves marketing expenses, ensuring that they are used wisely and within the approved budget.Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple internal/external stakeholdersWorking Hours and Conditions: Normal 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with normal time off for holidays. Occasional overtime is necessary for project completion. No weekend work required. Occasional travel is expected to attend tradeshows, photo/video shoots, and to stay informed about the markets served by the company.The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job function.
