Associate Director of Enrollment and Financial AssistanceThe Calhoun School, a progressive Pre-K through 12th-grade institution in New York City, seeks an Associate Director of Enrollment and Financial Assistance to join its Admissions Team. Reporting to the Dean of Enrollment, the Associate Director of Enrollment and Financial Assistance leads the admissions and enrollment processes for current and prospective families, serving as a critical bridge between enrollment engagement and the financial assistance process. By managing the details of student affordability and enrollment data, this position ensures Calhoun remains accessible and inclusive.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesFinancial Assistance ManagementFinancial Assistance CoordinationManage the end-to-end financial assistance application process, ensuring all materials are collected and tracked.Family SupportServe as a primary point of contact for families navigating the financial assistance process, providing clear and professional communication. Leads essential touchpoints for families to provide financial assistance education and details, such as virtual Townhalls, holding office hours, etc.CFO & Business Office CollaborationWork in close partnership with the Business Office and the Chief Financial Officer to ensure financial assistance awards are processed accurately and are in alignment with Board-determined strategy.Collections & Emergency SupportCoordinate with the Business Office regarding collections activities and provide support for families seeking emergency financial assistance as needed.Admissions & Enrollment OperationsSystems LeadershipLead the Calhoun admissions team efforts in support of database integrity and data accuracy.Enrollment LifecycleLead the re-enrollment process, including tracking contract holds, extension requests, and all related follow-up activities.Data & ReportingManage financial assistance and enrollment data reports for the Dean of Enrollment to support strategic decision-making.Ambassador LeadershipCoordinate and lead the Calhoun Parent Ambassador program to enhance community engagement and prospective family outreach.Advancement LiaisonLiaise with the Advancement team in support of Calhoun's philanthropic efforts as they relate to the composition and engagement of the current and prospective family communities.Events & OutreachSupport admissions and retention events, greet families, and ensure the overall impact of each event is realized.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:CommunicationAbility to communicate clearly and professionally on the telephone and in person.Technical SkillsExperience with data entry, database manipulation, and spreadsheets.PreferredPrior experience managing independent school financial assistance, background in accounting and/or tax preparation, etc.Mission AlignmentExperience supporting institutional diversity/equity work and the ability to understand multiple perspectives and life experiences.OrganizationExperience managing multiple internal and external schedules and the ability to complete tasks independently.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK REQUIREMENTSPhysicalWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk up stairs, stand, sit, walk, talk, hear and see.ManualRequires occasional carrying of admissions materials up to 10 pounds.Time DemandsRequires occasional evening and weekend work participating in events at Calhoun.IndySchool Consultancy has been retained by The Calhoun School to lead the search for theAssociate Director of Enrollment and Financial AssistanceA cover letter expressing interest in this positionA current resume / CVA list of five professional referencesAs the process moves forward, selected candidates may be asked to submit:J-18808-Ljbffr
