Janitorial Technician LeadThis role is responsible for overseeing daily janitorial operations, ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. This role leads and supports Janitorial staff, ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of our churchwide campus through a variety of Janitorial tasks. This role will support the mission and goals of our church with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe environment. Other duties may be required and assigned.)Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedbackAssign daily tasks and schedules to ensure adequate coverageLead, train, and supervise janitorial technicians and possible contractorsPerform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards for the church, its offices and the Greenforest Christian Academy.Conduct janitorial tasks such as restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and floor care including buffing and polishing.Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings, dusts and polishes furniture and light fixtures, and washes and replaces blinds.Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.Mix water and detergents or acids to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications for industrial cleaning projects, including specialized floor care and deep cleaning procedures.Support janitorial operations by replenishing supplies and ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and respond promptly to facility issues.Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures including wearing gloves, goggles or masks and following written or verbal instructions.Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliances to ensure that hazards are not created.Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.Remove snow/ice from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, by spreading snow melting chemicals.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, push, lift, dig, haul, pull, reach, carry, lift, grasp, squat or stoop, bend and twist the body while performing essential duties, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk or hearThe employee must have the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsMust be physically and mentally fit to respond to emergency situationsKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesAbility to read and carry out written and oral instructionsAbility to handle constantly changing priorities and demandsAbility to perform basic arithmetical functionsDetail oriented and self-motivated; work independently in the absence of supervisionCustomer Service oriented with the ability to build relationships with othersAbility to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible mannerDemonstrated ability to manage time effectively and efficientlyDemonstrated ability to be patient, flexible and adaptablePosition Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time non-exempt (40 hrs), understanding that special events and large church gatherings may be a part90 day performance and behavior reviews; at the end of day ninety (90) summation of probationary review; thereafter continuous feedback; six month and end of year evaluationsCondition of EmploymentA cleared, comprehensive background check and drug screening testThe Facilities Janitorial Tech is an employee 'At Will', and his or her terms and conditions of employment are governed by Greenforest Community Baptist Church Employee Handbook and/or the 'At Will' doctrine governed by the State of GeorgiaJ-18808-Ljbffr
