Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality initiatives and material quality performance for a short-term, on-site contract role in Perrysburg, OH. The role involves working closely with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is suited for a hands-on quality professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Roles & Responsibilities:Perform failure analysis and inspection techniques on supplier materialsSupport supplier audits, assessments, and source inspectionsEvaluate supplier approval status and identify the need for corrective action plansInterface with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve material quality issuesInitiate and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Support Supplier Quality Development initiativesDrive process improvement and continuous improvement activitiesAssess supplier processes and capabilities using Statistical Process Control (SPC)Mentor suppliers to improve quality performance and meet customer requirementsEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related fieldStrong experience in Quality Engineering and/or Supplier Quality EngineeringDemonstrated knowledge of Quality Control and Quality AssuranceExperience with ISO 9001 standardsKnowledge of PPAP documentation, APQP, Control Plans, and Flow ChartsExperience in data analysis and supplier managementHands-on experience with blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement toolsSolid understanding of quality control standards and methodologiesStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail with a results-driven mindset
