Applications Developer (Web & Mobile)Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)Duration: Contract 9 months Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Applications Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and user-friendly web and mobile applications that support both internal teams and external users. This role will be responsible for building new applications, enhancing existing systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high-quality software delivery through testing, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing modern web and mobile applications, including offline-capable mobile solutions, while following secure coding practices and software development best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and deploy web and mobile applications based on business and technical requirements.Develop native, hybrid, or Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) with offline functionality.Implement offline-first architecture using local storage technologies such as SQLite or Realm, with secure data synchronization when connectivity is restored.Enhance and maintain existing applications by implementing new features, resolving defects, and optimizing performance.Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely technical support to internal and external users.Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design, implementation, and maintenance documentation.Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.Develop and execute unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing.Ensure application security by following organizational security standards and best practices.Assist in planning software releases, deployments, and maintenance activities while minimizing downtime.Mentor junior developers and provide knowledge transfer on existing applications when required.Perform additional duties and participate in technology initiatives as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Experience developing modern web applications using current programming languages and frameworks.Experience developing Native, Hybrid, or Progressive Web Applications (PWAs).Hands-on experience implementing offline mobile functionality using SQLite, Realm, or similar local databases.Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services integration.Experience with application debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Familiarity with secure software development practices and application security principles.Experience with version control systems such as Git.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and Agile development practices.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines.Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud-based application development.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience with mobile application deployment for Android and iOS.Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.Experience working with relational databases and SQL.Knowledge of authentication technologies such as OAuth, SSO, or Azure AD.
