We are partnering with a top AmLaw firm to hire an experienced Assistant Conflicts Counsel to support its national Conflicts team. This senior‑level role focuses on complex conflicts analysis related to new business, lateral hires, and firm mergers, while helping ensure the firm consistently meets its ethical and professional responsibility obligations. This is a mostly remote position with rare in‑office meetings.Job DescriptionReporting to the Conflicts Counsel, the Assistant Conflicts Counsel plays a key leadership role within the conflicts function. Responsibilities include supervising conflicts staff, managing merger‑related conflicts processes end‑to‑end, running and analyzing conflicts searches using Intapp, drafting complex waivers and engagement letters, and implementing and overseeing ethical walls. This role works closely with firm attorneys, the General Counsel team, and internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and resolve conflicts issues efficiently while maintaining a high level of service in a fast‑paced environment.Ideal Qualifications10+ years of experience in a law firm conflicts department (mid‑ to large‑size firm required)Strong experience with Intapp Conflicts, Intake, and WallsProven experience handling law firm merger conflictsExpert understanding of professional responsibility rules and legal ethics related to conflictsExcellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication skills with the ability to advise attorneys and senior stakeholdersJuris Doctor requiredOur specialized recruiting professionals apply their expertise and utilize our proprietary AI to find you great job matches faster.
