Production Supervisor

Primary Job Duties:Operate as a manufacturing leader demonstrating metric-based management in areas of PQDCCC for daily improvement rhythm (MDI) – people/quality/delivery/cost/cash/CIEnsures effective employee relations, coaching, and employee developmentResponsible for driving a culture of safety, accountability, metrics and operational excellence.Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data/investigating issues/identifying solutions/and recommending actionsRecruits, selects, onboards, trains and mentors’ employeesCompletes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting results on shift production summariesEnforces and implements company policies Supports Engineering and Quality with improvements to business systems, processes, and productsResponsible for owning inventory, supplies, and budget for the departmentMaintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting process variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions and facilitating communications across cross functional teamsEnsures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniquesResponsible for 6S within your area/business unitSkills/ Experience:A minimum of 3 years of operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Proficient MS Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point. etc.)Excellent written and verbal communications skillsProficient with Lean Management techniques (C.I., 6S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke)Ability to gather and employ data to meet organizational goals in a metric-driven environmentEducation Background:High School Diploma / GED or equivalentBachelor’s degree preferredPhysical Requirements and Work Environment:Standing, Walking and Sitting for extended period of times (up to 2-3 miles per day)Mobility and dexterity to move around operating machinery and powered industrial equipmentAbility to work on site to physically support manufacturing requirements
