Vactor Operations Technician (CDL Class A/B)

Position SummaryJoin our team as a Vactor Operations Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing high-pressure jetting, catch basin cleaning, lift station cleanings, and general vactor operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSafely operate and maintain HY VAC equipment and company vehiclesCarry out assignments provided by Dispatcher, which may include overnight and traveling jobsMaintain open communication with Dispatcher and Project Manager regarding job statusesComplete and submit required service paperwork accurately and promptlyIdentify and troubleshoot job-related issues, proposing effective solutionsRespond swiftly to emergency callsAdhere to Wind River Environmental service protocols and prioritize safetyUnderstand and comply with DOT and DEP regulations relevant to your responsibilitiesProtect the environment by understanding spill protection, waste disposal methods, and emergency response proceduresCommit to ongoing technical training and skill developmentPerform additional duties as assigned by managementKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsTechnical and mechanical knowledge and abilityProficient in using hand tools and small power toolsEffective organizational and time management skillsDedicated to delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and communicationRequirements:Minimum Education and ExperienceExperience operating HY VAC equipment and vehiclesHolder of a CDL License (Class B) with a minimum of one year of commercial driving experienceAvailable for rotating on-call serviceCompetitive base pay range of $32.00 - $34.00 per hour, with final compensation determined by factors such as work location, experience, and skills.We Offer:Competitive starting ratesMedical and dental insurance401K with matching8 paid holidays and a generous paid time-off planUniforms providedWind River Environmental specializes in the service and maintenance of a wide range of non-hazardous liquid waste systems, including grease traps and septic tanks.
