Accounts Payable Manager

A growing and well-established service-based organization in the Pearland area is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and optimize the AP function. This individual will lead day-to-day accounts payable operations, manage vendor relationships, improve processes, and partner closely with accounting and operational leadership in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building efficiencies, leading teams, and creating scalable accounting processes within a collaborative organization.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the full-cycle accounts payable process including invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, vendor maintenance, and reconciliationsManage and mentor AP staff while driving accountability, accuracy, and efficiencyEnsure timely and accurate processing of high-volume invoices and vendor paymentsPartner with operations and project teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and approval issuesMonitor AP aging and cash flow considerations while maintaining strong vendor relationshipsAssist with month-end close activities including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting related to payablesDevelop and improve AP policies, procedures, and internal controlsIdentify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and workflow efficienciesEnsure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and audit requirementsSupport leadership with reporting, analytics, and operational improvements related to AP functionsQualifications5+ years of progressive accounts payable experiencePrior leadership or management experience preferredExperience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of invoice processing, reconciliations, vendor management, and AP workflowsConstruction, industrial services, manufacturing, or project-based industry experience is highly preferredStrong Excel skills and experience working within ERP/accounting systemsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize competing deadlines and work cross-functionally with multiple departmentsPreferred BackgroundExperience managing AP processes in project-based or service-driven environmentsProcess improvement mindset with the ability to help scale accounting operationsComfortable working in an evolving and growth-focused organizationCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary + bonus potentialFull benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)Opportunity for long-term growth and leadership visibility within the organizationIf you are interested in learning more about this confidential opportunity, please apply directly or reach out for additional details.
