Cloud Engineer – AI Infrastructure

Overview In this role, you design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure to support AI/ML workloads for a federal agency focused on financial system stability. You will work with AI architects, ML engineers, and platform teams to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant AI deployments in hybrid cloud environments. The role emphasizes high availability, governance, and efficient resource use. This is an opportunity to shape AI infrastructure that enables advanced models and agent-based systems at scale. ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy cloud-native infra for AI/ML workloads, including compute, storage, networking, and security controlsEnable scalable environments for training, inference, and orchestration of GenAI and Agentic AI systemsSupport hybrid cloud configurations and integration with on-prem data sourcesProvision and manage cloud services for AI platforms (model registries, feature stores, agent orchestration)Optimize resources for performance, cost, and federal complianceCollaborate with ML engineers to support AI/MLOps pipelines and automated deployment workflowsDevelop infrastructure-as-code templates and CI/CD pipelines for provisioning and deploymentMonitor system health and performance with cloud observability toolsProvide technical documentation and support; participate in agile sprints and incident response Key requirements7 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure design, or DevOpsProficiency with AWS cloud platforms and related servicesExperience supporting AI/ML workloads in cloud environmentsFamiliarity with GenAI platforms and Agentic AI system requirementsStrong understanding of cloud security, networking, and automation toolsExperience with AI/MLOps, container orchestration and serverless architecturesFamiliarity with agent orchestration frameworks and LLM deployment strategiesBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldCollaboration with cross-functional teamsStrong communication and documentationAgile development mindsetAWS cloud servicesAI/ML workloads in cloudGenAI and Agentic AI platforms
